How do I add a widget?
- Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen, then tap Edit › Add Widget.
- Search for Cheerdown, pick a size and tap Add Widget.
- For the Lock Screen, touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customize › Lock Screen, then tap the area under the clock.
How do I choose which countdown a widget shows?
Touch and hold the widget, tap Edit Widget, then pick a countdown. If you don't pick one, the widget shows the next countdown coming up.
My widget says "Unable to load" or shows the wrong thing.
Remove the widget and add it again, then open Cheerdown once. That fixes it almost every time, including after an app update.
iCloud sync
My countdowns aren't showing up on my other device.
- Check that both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account.
- Go to Settings › [your name] › iCloud and check that iCloud is on for Cheerdown.
- Check that your iCloud storage isn't full. Sync stops when it's full.
- Open Cheerdown on both devices and give it a minute. Settings in Cheerdown shows the current sync status.
Sharing
How do I share a countdown?
Open a countdown, tap Count down together, and send the invite. Everyone you invite sees the same countdown on their widgets, and edits show up for everyone.
Does everyone need Cheerdown Pro?
No. Only the person who starts the share needs Pro. Accepting an invite, editing and leaving are free.
What happens when I stop sharing?
Nobody loses anything. Everyone keeps their own copy as a personal countdown.
Cheerdown Pro
What does Pro include?
Starting shared countdowns, 8 extra themes and artwork backgrounds, your own photos as backgrounds, and Live Activities on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Everything that's free stays free.
I bought Pro but it isn't unlocked.
Open Settings in Cheerdown and tap Restore purchase. Make sure you're signed in with the Apple Account you used to buy it.
Can my family use my Pro?
Pro Yearly includes Family Sharing. If you're in an Apple Family Sharing group, your family gets Pro too. Pro Monthly and Pro Lifetime are for one person.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
Apple handles subscriptions. To cancel, go to Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions › Cheerdown. For a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your data
I deleted a countdown by mistake.
Deleted countdowns stay in Settings › Recently Deleted for 30 days, so you can restore them from there. Cheerdown also keeps a daily backup, which you can restore from Settings › Backups.
Why did my Live Activity only start a few hours before?
iOS keeps a Live Activity running for up to 8 hours. Cheerdown sends you a reminder 8 hours before a timed countdown ends. Open the app then, or tap Follow it live on the countdown.
